Paño Rojo
A restaurant on a pink stucco corner with its name in script twice: Rojo in black on the arch over two awnings, Paño in faded white on the patio screen below, in the Extended Look at 18:15.
At 18:15 of the Extended Look the frame looks across the pavement at a pink stucco building with two tall arched openings, each shaded by a dark red awning, and a patio in front of them behind a hedge: wooden chairs and small tables, a woman in an orange tracksuit and a white cap at one of them, a lantern on the wall between the arches. On the white band over the arches the name is painted in black script, with a red swash over the ñ and a small orange dot beside it. Rojo reads whole there. The first word is crossed by a palm frond hanging in front of the building, so only its ño shows. A smaller word in front of Rojo is crossed by the same frond, and its lowercase sits at this site’s letter floor, so it is not read here.
The patio screen finishes the name. The same lettering, with the same red swash and orange dot, is painted in faded white across the screen that closes the arches behind the patio: Paño on the first line, whole, and Ro on the second before the hair of a woman in the foreground covers the rest. Between the two, every letter of Paño Rojo reads in this one frame, on the true pixel grid: Paño on the screen, Rojo on the arch.
On the corner hangs a red sign with a yellow figure on it, too blurred in this frame to say what the figure is. The woman in the white crop top in the foreground, whose hair covers the end of the screen, belongs to the scene rather than to the restaurant. Paño rojo is Spanish for red cloth.

How this was measured
| Source | Extended Look, 18:15.64 |
|---|---|
| Frame | 3840 × 2160 |
| Crop | 1804 × 1425 — a good part of the frame |
| Image check | 26 September 2026 — crop checked against the frame |
| Text check | 26 September 2026 — 30 claims read against the image, 4 corrected |

| a small word in front of Rojo on the arch, crossed by a palm frond | 19 px | — | no |
These figures come from the dataset, not from the prose above. We measure everything and claim what counts. How we work
What we still do not know
- What it serves: the smaller word in front of Rojo sits at this site’s letter floor, and a palm frond crosses it
- Whether it is enterable
- Which neighbourhood it is in
- What the figure on the red hanging sign is
