Chip’s Body Shop
A body shop in the Keys with a hand-painted board reading CHIP'S BODY SHOP, a strapline under it that the next board cuts in half, and a whale painted on the fence beside it.
The board is painted and mounted on a fence, the name in black on a red, white and blue ground: CHIP’S large at the left, BODY SHOP stacked beside it. Two smaller lines under the name sit below this site’s floor for lettering. A second board in front of it reads HAVING A B before the fence cuts it off, with a smaller line under that which does not read, and to the right a blue slatted panel carries Wonder in white script over a painted whale, with the rest of that name running out of the crop.
In front of the boards a couple take a selfie and a man in a hat looks on. The street around them is on the Leonida Keys page, which carries the whole image: a woman on a blue mobility scooter with a drink in the basket, an iguana on the tarmac, a cyclist, a dog and a small bus unloading passengers.
A body shop matters more in this series than most businesses, because vehicle modification usually lives in one. Rockstar’s own media page separately names a workshop called Rideout Customs, so there may be two.
How to recognise it
- CHIP'S BODY SHOP hand-painted on a board, black on red, white and blue
- Two smaller lines under the name, below the lettering floor
- HAVING A B on a second board, cut off by the fence
- Wonder in white script over a painted whale on the blue panel beside it
- A couple taking a selfie in front of the boards
The frame it comes from
The frame is a still from the official Press pack, which carries no timecode. It is 3840 by 2160, and the subject occupies 614 by 302 of it. Also in it: the Leonida Keys, a blue mobility scooter, a red beach cruiser bicycle, and a cutaway shuttle bus.
How this was measured
| Source | Press pack |
|---|---|
| Frame | 3840 × 2160 |
| Crop | 614 × 302 — a small part of the frame |
| Image check | 25 September 2026 — crop checked against the frame |
| Text check | 25 September 2026 — 33 claims read against the image, 1 corrected |
| Read at | the true pixel grid, 1:1 |
| Lettering | Letter height | Contrast | Reads |
|---|---|---|---|
| CHIP'S | 42 px | — | every character |
| the two stacked words to the right of the name | 19 px | — | no |
| the two smaller lines under the name | 14 px | — | no |
| HAVING A B | 38 px | — | in part |
| Wonder | 65 px | — | in part |
These figures come from the dataset, not from the prose above. We measure everything and claim what counts. How we work
What we still do not know
- Whether cars can be modified here
- How it relates to Rideout Customs, named on Rockstar’s media page
- Whether it is enterable
- What the two lines under the name say
A note on this record
Until 22 September 2026 this page read the two small lines under the name and put a repairs slogan in its own description; both are under the floor and neither is read here. On 25 September 2026 the street scene moved into the link to the Leonida Keys page, which carries the whole image, since this crop holds the boards and the people just in front of them.
Also in these frames
Measured in the same frames as the images above, but without a page of their own. Same rule as everywhere else: what the crop carries, with the source and the timecode. The ones whose frame no page shows are collected in the frame.
