Vapid Ganado '70

A coupe utility in faded turquoise with VAPID spelled out letter by letter across the tailgate: a car at the front, a load bed at the back, and the maker in between.

VAPID runs across the tailgate in five widely spaced raised letters, which settles the manufacturer without anyone having to infer it. The body is a coupe utility: a long car nose and a full cabin up front, then a straight-sided load bed behind, all in one line rather than a cab bolted to a chassis.

The paint is a faded turquoise, chalked across the top surfaces and rusting along the bed rail and the lower panels, with a black roof over the cabin. Round tail lamps are set into the rear panel either side of the tailgate and a chrome bumper runs under them. A script badge sits on the rear wing above the arch, with a second smaller badge low behind it. The wheels are chrome five-spokes with polished trim rings.

It stands on a driveway with a lattice fence and palms behind, and a classic with tailfins is in the same frame.

The frame it comes from

The frame is Trailer 2 at 0:08.13. It is 1920 by 1080, and the vehicle occupies 662 by 265 of it. Also in it: a stilt house over the water and a classic with tailfins.

What we still do not know

• The script badge on the rear wing. It is the model name and it is not legible.
• Whether the black roof is paint, vinyl or a cover
• The plate, which hangs at the left of the rear panel and does not resolve
• Everything measured: top speed, acceleration, payload, price, where it spawns
