Weapons
Double-barrel shotgun
A break-action double-barrelled shotgun with an engraved receiver and a wooden stock, raised by a bearded man in a swamp shed.
The weapon is held muzzle-up against his shoulder. The action is broken open in this frame, which is what makes it identifiable: a hinge at the receiver and two barrels side by side. The receiver is engraved with a scroll pattern and the stock and forend are wood.
This is not a modern weapon. Everything about it — the engraving, the wood, the break action — belongs to a hunting gun rather than a tactical one, which fits where it appears: a shed in Grassrivers with an alligator strung up behind him.
It is one of two hunting weapons in the official material, the other being a bolt-action rifle with a scope in Mount Kalaga.
How to recognise it
- Break action, hinged at the receiver
- Two barrels side by side
- Scroll engraving on the receiver
- Wooden stock and forend
- Held in a swamp shed with an alligator hanging behind
The frame it comes from
The frame is a still from the official Press pack, which carries no timecode. It is 3840 by 2160, and the vehicle occupies 845 by 1685 of it. Also in it: Grassrivers.
What we still do not know
- Its in-game name
- Whether it is a weapon you can carry or a prop in that scene
- Whether break-action means a two-shot reload mechanic
- Its gauge
